Coronavirus: suspended bus trips and closed borders

In response to the coronavirus, many domestic Polish bus operators have suspended their lines.

International bus traffic has been severely restricted as a consequence of the closure of its borders to foreigners by many European countries.

Information as of 15:00, 04.05.2020:

General restrictions:**

  • The EU’s external borders were closed by May 15th. This deadline will probably be extended
  • On the Busfor.pl website the sale of international tickets in all directions has been suspended.

**Polish **

  • No entry into the country for foreigners.
  • 14-day home quarantine for those entering the territory of Poland.
  • Suspension of international bus and rail passenger connections.
  • Cargo transport - goods will leave and enter Poland without interruption.
  • Polish borders closed until 13 May (possible extension of this deadline)
  • Since May 4, the second stage of economy defrosting was implemented - hotels, accommodation, shopping malls, cultural institutions were opened and schools are planned to open around May 24.

**Ukraine **

Ukraine closed its borders and passenger transport within the country by 11 May. It is not possible to buy a bus ticket for such connections. If you have already purchased a ticket - log in to your account to make a refund.

Czech Republic

Czech Republic lift the travel ban, although everyone has to undergo a coronavirus test or a two-week quarantine when they return. It is, therefore, possible to travel around the country or even abroad.

**Germans **

The federal government advises against all travel, including within Germany. National contact bans and travel restrictions apply - until 14 June 2020.

**Russia **

According to a decree of the Russian government, foreigners will not enter Russia since 18 March. The ban on crossing the border will continue ** until revoked by the authorities of the Russian Federation**.

How do you function during quarantine?

The important thing is not to panic. General recommendations to be followed:

  • Wash your hands frequently
  • If you feel unwell and have a fever or respiratory symptoms, call a doctor: do not go to hospital or visit public places.
  • Wearing a mask in public places is mandatory. It is not obligatory to wear it in the woods.
  • Keep a safe distance (2m) between people in public places.
