How To Check-in And Baggage Allowance

There are three options for checking in at Heathrow Airport- check-in desks, self-service check-in or online/mobile check-in.

You can find the check-in desks here:

  • Terminal 2: Top floor
  • Terminal 3: Ground floor (departures building)
  • Terminal 4: First floor
  • Terminal 5: Top floor.

The baggage allowance will be determined by your Airlines itself based on the fare paid, class of travel, route, aircraft type, government regulations and the airline policies.

Bus Service From The Airport

You can get a bus from Heathrow Central Station, which is situated between Terminal 2 and 3.

The average travel time is one hour. The fare for a single ticket is 5,60 Euros

National Express Buses run throughout the day. The first bus departs at 04:20 and the last bus departs at 22:05. There are buses departing at an interval of every 15-20 minutes. Train Service From the Airport

Heathrow Express Train

The Heathrow Express train connects the airport to London Paddington Station. The trains run every 15 minutes. The journey between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport takes 15 minutes. The trains are air-conditioned with plenty of luggage space and on-board TV. There’s free Wi-Fi throughout the train, and at-seat power sockets too.

Heathrow Express trains stop at Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 5. Passengers travelling to Terminal 4 should change on to the free transfer train at Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3. The cost of a single one-way ticket is 24.88 EUR off-peak and 28.3 EUR peak, peak times are 6:30am - 9:30am or 4pm - 7pm, Monday – Friday excluding UK Bank Holidays.

Heathrow is 23 km west of central London, near the south end of the London Borough of Hillingdon on a parcel of land that is designated part of the Metropolitan Green Belt. Can I sleep in the Airport?

Yes, there are many areas where you can sleep:

The airport offers rest zones with reclining chairs in several terminals. Terminal 3 has a dedicated rest zone with sofas, lounges, snack machines and more. Location: Terminal 3, Airside, Gate 24/25.

Many lounges offer nap rooms, including a few locales of the Plaza Premium Lounge, and the Club Aspire Lounge and the No. 1 Heathrow Lounge, both in Terminal 3. Rooms can be booked at the lounge door or sometimes pre-booked online.
