The “Solidarity Szczecin-Goleniów Airport” deserves the cities of, Goleniów, Nowogard and Szczecin, situated in the northwestern province of Pomerania, Poland. The airport is 7 KM from Goleniów, 26 KM from Nowogard and 47 from Szczecin.
The airport was constructed between 1053 and 1956, during the Cold War as a standard military airport with some basic runways and a few warehouses. In 1967, the civilian airport was relocated to the site and some additional runways were built and nowadays handles an estimated 300,000 passengers a year.

Should you decide to leave the airport by bus, there are three ways of doing so:
The fastest and easiest way to leave the airport by bus and reach Szczecin for example, or other main cities in Poland and Berlin, in Germany, is to pre-book your ticket on-line.
Travelling by bus in Poland is fast, cheap and reliable. Bus companies offer comfortable services at great prices, with free Wi-Fi on board, luggage storage and cheap snacks and drinks.
Szczecin-Goleniów Airport buses leave 20 minutes after landing from the airport to various cities in Poland. It is also possible to reach other destinations in Europe, such as Berlin Schonefeld Airport, in Germany for example. Simply bear in mind that you will need to reconnect in Szczecin.
There is also a private mini shuttle service deserving the following cities: Szczecin, Nowogard, Goleniów, Stargard Szczeciński, Chociwel, Ińsko, Resko, Gryfice, Łobez, Golczewo, and Radowo Wielkie. There is no set price and you will need to contact the company (Fedenczak) before hand or make your arrangements on site.
The local public bus service runs from Monday to Saturday, from 5 AM to 11 PM and a special Holiday time table from November 1st to December 24th. A single fare is approximately 3zł or 0,70 EUR.
As long as there is a road, there is a bus! Poland bus network is extensive and inexpensive. It is easy to reach other cities and neighbouring countries from Szczecin-Goleniów Airport, using a bus.
Poland has a very comprehensive bus network, however, frequency and fares vary due to a fierce competition since the privatisation of the national bus company, Państwowa Komunikacja Samochodowa (PKS), in the 1990s.

Since June 2013, you can use the train from Szczecin-Goleniów Airport. There are two carriers running on the Polish tracks: PKP Intercity and Przewozy Regionalne. The train station is situated next to the airport and the journey to Szczecin takes 40 minutes.
The airport train station is called Port Lotniczy Szczecin Goleniów and the railway network runs all over Poland. It is not as extensive as the bus network though and slower.
At the time of writing, you will need to re-connect at Szczecin train station and carry on to any other destination. A single fare to Warsaw is around 15 EUR and lasts about 7 hours.
Szczecin-Goleniów Airport is no short or rental car companies, Avis, Hertz, Sixt, Budget, Europcar, etc. all await you at the airport. Detailed info here, to select and book a rental car ahead of your travel.
The taxi stands is outside the airport. Avoid unmarked “pirate” taxis, with a small taxi sign on the roof and no telephone number.

Szczecin-Goleniów Airport is well acquainted with restaurants, bars and shops, a chapel, a child care room, first aid facilities, cash machines, travel agents and an observation deck. There is a tourist information desk that can provide you with itinerary and hotel bookings throughout Poland.
You can connect to a free WiFi at the airport and there is a post office. You can also change money directly at the airport (see more info in FAQ below).
For business travellers, there are a couple of conference rooms available. Travelling families can take their children to the playground for some play time.
Szczecin-Goleniów Airport is located some 450 KM from the capital, Warsaw, which makes it an interesting start if you want to explore the northern parts of Europe and the Baltic Sea before heading down to the capital.

Yes, they are, although not attached to the airport itself. Two of them with exceptional reviews are Central Apartments Goleniów and Villa Park, and both conveniently located in Goleniów town.
